
Movement matters. While nutrition is the first step toward wholehearted wellness, fitness also plays a key roll in allowing you to live your best lift. Whether you are trying to lose weight, increase energy, or compete in a race-- my small group and personal training services can help you get there. I believe in training the entire body through the use of functional movement. I choose exercises that require you use your whole body (and mind) and that mimic real life movements. We will lunge, squat, push, pull, bend, twist our way through custom workouts designed to meet your goals. I incorporate elements of yoga, pilates, HIIT, and good ol' fashion running and walking into workouts for my clients.
My love for fitness started young as a gymnast and sprinter. After high school, I fell in love with hiking and longer distance running. In college, I ran my first marathon. I had no intentions of doing another one but I guess I caught the bug because the following year, I found myself signed up for an ultra marathon... and then another one and another one... I love running and feel most at home in my body when I'm digging deep at mile 20. Over the past decade I have experimented with various styles of exercise and continue to learn new methods and grow as a trainer. I believe movement should be enjoyable and strive to always teach my clients the safest ways to perform exercises and to modify to meet the specific needs of each body.
